More Baby Knits in Brown Sheep Yarns
Spring officially lands next week, and you know what that means… it’s the season for baby knits in Brown Sheep yarns!
Yes, we know, babies are born all year long. But there’s something about the spring season that just feels like baby season. The newness of things, the warmth in the air. Perhaps, for crafters, it feels like an especially good time for making baby things because we’re just departing our high season of crafting big woolly knits. After months of adult sweaters, blankets, and other big commitment projects, spring is the perfect time to cast on a baby knit. Nothing jumps on and off our needles and hooks faster than a quick baby sweater!
So to keep with tradition, today we’re talking about more baby knits in Brown Sheep Yarns. Why more? Because we did the same thing last year in our Baby Knits in Brown Sheep Yarns. So, you have lots of options to choose from! (We’ve also welcomed babies to the Brown Sheep family around this time of year. This season really is for baby knits!)
Daisy Top Hat
Knit in Nature Spun Sport, the Daisy Top Hat is an easy choice for a fun baby knit this spring. We love the optional floral embroidery with additional flowers sprouting from the green brim!

Perenni Hat
The Perenni Hat is crocheted with Cotton Fleece, a great choice for spring. We love how the crochet stitch pattern resembles a flower. The stripe of contrasting color above the brim looks like a row of flowers. So pretty!

Cosy Posy Hat & Sweater
The Cosy Posy Baby Girl Sweater & Hat requires just 3 skeins of Cotton Fleece for both cardigan and hat and is available in sizes 6 months and 1 and 2 years. We love the big lacy sleeves and swingy silhouette with the half row of buttons—very easy to get on and off your little one!

Roaring Twenties Baby Booties
As a company that has been producing yarn for 40+ yarns, there’s a special place in our hearts for vintage knitting patterns. The Roaring Twenties Baby Booties were adapted from a 1921 Needlework magazine, so they’re quite a bit older than we are, but our classic yarns work perfectly for patterns like this. Knit with Nature Spun Fingering, the Roaring Twenties Baby Booties are knit flat and feature a little eyelet lace so you can thread a piece of ribbon through the lace to tie the booties on.

Roo Pocket Pullover
Everybody loves a pullover with a pocket! The Roo Pocket Pullover is a quick, easy knit in Cotton Fleece and the perfect spring layer. Generously sized, the pullover includes options for sizes 1-2, 4-6, and 8-10.

Bluebell Pullover
The Bluebell Pullover is knit with three colors of Lamb’s Pride Worsted. We love the interesting details in this sweater, including the garter hem and cuffs and the unusual envelope-style neckline.

Happy Hues Baby Cardigan
The Happy Hues Baby Cardigan is great if you have some Cotton Fleece scraps in your stash. Featuring 6 colors of Cotton Fleece, we love the mix of thin stripes in the sleeves and thick stripes in the body of the cardigan.
