Over the last year,  Claire Borchardt of A Fiber Collective published a series of beautiful patterns in Prairie Spun DK. The small collection, comprised of sweaters, socks, hats, cowls and other accessories, sparked a desire to cast on her knits.

One of the things we loved about Claire’s Prairie Spun DK accessories, aside from the elegant, contemporary details and timeless style, is that each pattern requires no more than 1-2 skeins of yarn.

As for my first project, I’m thinking of But First, Socks. I’ve been on a sock knitting kick as of late, and also… I feel obliged to obey that name! But first, socks!
