Eagle’s Flight is a long and narrow crescent shaped shawl imitating the dramatic beauty of an eagle’s wings while in flight.
The majority of the shawl is worked in garter stitch and in one color, while two pattern bands along the outer edge are worked in a dark and a light contrasting yarn.
The upper edge of the shawl stays in shape due to a modified i-cord. Five two-stitch rays lead from the centre of neck and out, enclosing fields of garter stitch which will take on different row directions due to increases and decreases worked next to each ray. The shawl is finished with a subtle picot bind off along the outer edge.
Yarn requirements: 2 skeins Prairie Spun DK in color A (Shown in PSDK90 Lost Lake), 1 skein color B (Shown in PSDK85 Damselfly), 1 skein color C (Shown in PSDK15 Blackbird)
