2024 Mystery Knitalong Yarn Bundle

Description

This year’s mystery knitalong features our Cotton Fleece yarn in 4 shades.

Designed by Olya Mikesh, the Spring Meadow Shawl combines simple garter stitch and eyelet fabric with mosaic knitting, an easy-to-knit and approachable color work technique.

• Yarn: Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece Worsted, 100g/250 yds per skein, 4 skeins, 1 each for Colors A, B, C, and D.
• Needles: US Size 6, 21” or longer circular, or size to obtain gauge
• Gauge: 20 stitches and 24 rows = 4” (blocked garter stitch)
• Notions: Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends), Scissors

There will be 4 clues in total. Participants will receive the first clue by email on April 23. The following clues will then be issued on a weekly basis every Tuesday. We’re extending the MKAL this year to give our knitters extra time to finish their shawls—knitters have until June 9 to share pictures of their finished shawl with the hashtag #BrownSheepSpringMKAL2024 and #SpringMeadowMKAL to be eligible for our prizes!
