Even More Baby Knits in Brown Sheep Yarns

Spring is officially in full swing, and you know what that means! Time for lots of knitting and crocheting for babies! If you read Baby Knits in Brown Sheep Yarns and More Baby Knits in Brown Sheep Yarns, you know we love collecting great baby patterns. If you haven’t read those posts, check them out! With this new entry in the series, there are now over 20 different patterns to explore.

So let’s celebrate spring with some great baby knits!

Beach Baby Sweater

The Beach Baby Sweater is an adorable pattern. It calls for worsted weight yarn, so you can knit it with Nature Spun, Lamb’s Pride, or—if you want a lightweight spring sweater—Cotton Fleece. The Beach Baby sweater is available from size 0 up to size 6. We love the idea of making a matching set for siblings!

Baby Leaf Yoke Cardigan

Worked with just 1-2 skeins of Cotton Fleece, the Baby Leaf Yoke Cardigan has everything we love in a baby knit. An opportunity to showcase adorable buttons, an easy-fit style for wriggly energy, and an open silhouette for growing bodies. It’s perfect!

Zoe’s Dress

There are so many things to love about the Zoe Dress in Cotton Fleece. Again, there’s the opportunity to show off some adorable buttons in the straps (which also makes these an easy garment to take on and off). There’s a fun burst of color across the middle. And there’s just a touch of lace for a rippled hem, and little purl dots for texture in the skirt. And did we mention it’s free?

Olive Sweater

Another stunner in Cotton Fleece, the Olive Sweater is here just for the crocheters. Available in size 6-12 months up to 5-6T, the Olive Sweater has sweet contrasting raglan sleeves and adorable button accents.

Jumps & Bumps Sweater & Hat

One of Brown Sheep Company’s classic patterns, the Jumps & Bumps Sweater & Hat in Cotton Fleece has lots of fun details. A multicolor button placket, simple but attractive color work in the hem and cuffs, and a matching hat make this a fun and fetching knit.

Kitten Sweater

Originally designed for the since-discontinued Lamb’s Pride Superwash Sport, knitters can easily adapt the Kitten Sweater to Nature Spun Sport, Lanaloft Sport or Top of the Lamb. The kitty motif is worked using the intarsia technique and the sweater is available in sizes from newborn up to 4T.

Posy and Spring

We don’t want to say we saved the best for last, but Posy and Spring might be one of the cutest baby knits on our list. Knit with Cotton Fleece, the little halter top includes a fabric yo-yo flower that could be substituted for a knit or crochet flower. The shorts features a textured purl pattern that pairs perfectly with the ruffled cuffs. Posy and Spring is such a cute spring/summer outfit and it’s available for free!

We hope you enjoyed our most recent edition of baby knits in Brown Sheep yarns! Are you knitting for little ones this year? Let us know!
